SCR Conf - Saturday Night

What a day! We are in the hospitality suite right now. There is noise, and snacks (mostly sweet ones) and a little alcohol. I guess it should really be call the Hospitality "Sweet". I start my diet Monday. The 200 sq foot hotel room is wall to wall Soroptimist discussing everything from some kind of receipe that uses dark chocolate and red wine to the importance of advertising for tourism for any city. The ladies are from Joplin, MO; Dallas, TX; Topeka, KS; Capital City, KS ("a town full of capital offices and attornys"); Carthage, MO; Vandalia, Il; Amarillo, Tx; St. Louis, MO; and of course St. Joseph, MO. I don't think I mentioned that we were in St. Joseph for this year's conference. I will be posting some videos on UTube of the conference. As I upload them I will place a link on this blog. So check back when you get a chance. See you then!

SRC Conference Morning Meeting

The morning meeting is going well. Diane Thompson gave a very interesting report on the importance of leadership of women. Kathy video taped much of the presentation which can be found in the video links at the bottom of this blog. Please also check the ACT NOW link to the right for information of international womens issued discussed at the meeting. Once you check this International of the Americas site. Please take the time to act and notify your congress man. Instructions can be found there as well.
